Cerebral Palsy Alberta

Cerebral Palsy Alberta Association is receiving an Emergency Community Support Grant in the amount of $3,471 toward their Virtual Recreational & Wellness Programs, Virtual Counselling and Support Services, and Basic Need Provision programs.

Designed to ensure the mental and physical health and wellbeing of persons with disabilities, helping them with social inclusion while maintaining social distancing, these programs and services will help ensure the quality of life of persons with disabilities as they adjust to a new way of life due to the pandemic.

Persons with disabilities already struggled with social isolation and often face social, physical, and economic barriers to full participation in the community prior to the pandemic. With these supports, Cerebral Palsy Alberta is helping these vulnerable individuals adjust to a new normal and helping them meet their social, mental, and physical needs, reducing the strain on the disability community.
