United Way Alberta Northwest has delivered 360 Feminine Hygiene Kits to local schools!

With a generous donation from International Paper, we were able to deliver 360 Feminine Hygiene kits to 2 local High Schools, Peace Wapiti Academy and Grande Prairie Composite High School.  These kits included feminine hygiene products along with positive, hand-written notes for the students who would go on to receive them.

This project highlighted the issue of "period poverty" - which is an issue some students face, as they may experience difficulty in accessing menstrual hygiene products.  This, in turn, impacts their ability to attend school.  We are grateful to International Paper for including us in this project which has had a positive impact on many students in our local schools.
